Pine Cottage is part of a converted, 200 year old Farm complex situated in Woolsery, Near Clovelly in North Devon. There are a total of 11 Cottages on the site, all of which are used as holiday homes.
Pine Cottage is a small, one bedroomed cottage and is located slightly away from the main cottages.
The cottage is fully central heated, has hot water on demand and a fitted kitchen with a gas hob. The garden to the rear is west facing and is privately fenced off for your use. The views from the garden overlook the fields and downs towards Bideford and the most activity you would normally see from the garden view is the sheep wandering slowly accross the meadows.
The living room has double french windows which open out to a patio area at the top of the garden.
The living room has an open doorway to the kitchen, a small eating area and two large and comfortable, reclinable armchairs. The coffee table allows you to place your favourite tipple within reach while watching TV or a DVD on the set provided.
The bedroom has a doorway off of the main living room. There are two 90 cm (3 ft) single beds which can be separated or pushed together for a more cosy sleeping arrangement. All bedding is provided. The matresses are orthopedic but not too hard. Each bed has it's own bedside cabinet for storage of small items or clothing, and a lamp. The bedroom has a radiator for cooler nights, and a built in wardrobe with two shelves for clothing and storage of extra blankets should these be required.
The beds have space underneath for storing suitcases or other items when they are not in use.
The bathroom has recently been completely rennovated with the usual range of flush toilet, handbasin and shower cubicle with thermostatically controlled shower head. The hot water is on demand from the gas boiler which is located in the bathroom.
The Kitchen is fitted and with plenty of storage space for bottles, boxes, cans and bags. Pans and frying pans are provided, together with all standard utensils that you would exptect, including bottle opener and a knife sharpener! The hob is gas for instant "cookability". Kitchen towels and basic cleaning materials are provided.
We do not have an oven as we consider that major cooking should not be part of a holiday, however a microwave oven is supplied. If Sunday Roasts are a must, then the local Pub is the best option (no washing up either!).
The garden view - and what a view! The lack of neigbouring housing behind the garden boundaries gives the feeling that you are really somewhere quite remote. Who would know from this view that the A39 is only a couple of minutes away in the other direction - not only unseen but thanks to Devon's noise dampening hedgerows bordering nearly all roads in the area, it is also unheard!
